Tania Cardillo, born in Catania, granddaughter of art, after graduating in piano and music education, she attended solo and chamber music courses held, among others, by Sergey Dorenskj, at the Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Salzburg, and Fausto Zadra at the École National de Piano in Rome and Lausanne, who gave a significant impact to his artistic growth. She has been awarded in various national and international musical competitions and in 2002 she obtained the accompanist special mention at the Ibla Grand Prize Competition; she performs in Italy and abroad both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, especially in duos and trios.
With Da Vinci Classics she recorded the first three volumes of a series of CDs dedicated to the piano works of the contemporary Italian composer Luca Moscardi.
Between presentations on renowned radio stations and awards, in particular vol. 1 was reviewed with five stars in Amadeus Magazine.
Following a recital held in 2022 for the Second Maastricht International Festival, the musicologist Jean-Marc Warszawski wrote words full of enthusiasm in the French online music magazine Musicologie.org about her: “La soirée était entièrement consacrée au récital de la pianist italienne Tania Cardillo au tempérament bien trempé… Une bonne fin de festival sincère, mélodique avec aciditiés, en douceur, en contrastes énergiques, l’exploitation de tout ce qui est entre pianissimi audibles et ce que le piano peut encaisser en fortissimo…”. She has published a treatise on musical theory, revisions, transcriptions, arrangements and a CD with the Fenìlya Trio, for Edizioni Novecento.
She sometimes collaborates with the Centro culturale e teatrale Magma in Catania for the creation of artistic activities such as competitions, concerts and musical seasons.
She combines his concert career with constant and serious teaching activity.
